The Portland Astoria

Known down the construction phase as “140 Columbia,” this towering building can be found in the heart of Portland’s downtown, and demonstrates J&S’s capacity to provide detailed work at scale with nearly 310,000 brick and 22,000 CMU blocks used. The impressive 200 vertical feet of brick make this building stand uniquely within Portland’s skyline. In order to work on such a scale J&S installed and used a full multi-trade scaffold wrap. The natural appearance of this particular brick works beautifully with the building’s emphasis on vegetation and other organic themes.
