Originally referred to as Block 76 West, and was built near the east end of the Broadway bridge on a relatively small, uniquely shaped footprint. Utilizing this unique space, some of the building’s typical right angle corners have been reduced to tighter, sharper angles. Others have been exaggerated to open up walls to viewers, using the geometry to really highlight the masonry. The result is an incredibly unique brick building which stands out against the surrounding buildings. The “midnight black” (via Interstate Brick) masonry blends together with cross-laminated-timber (CLT) to provide a dramatic and nuanced appearance.
