Since 1983 we have completed remarkable masonry projects in the Pacific Northwest while taking care of our employees and their families as if they are our own.
Safety
We are serious about safety. J&S Masonry is one of the few contractors in the area to own and use hydraulic FRACO mast climbing scaffold at the majority of our construction sites, reducing on-the-job injuries and accidents. Using the Fraco also allows our masons to perform most of their work at a consistent, ergonomically beneficial height. We also require extensive training before any employee operates or uses our scaffold systems. Our focus on safety has earned us an EMR better than the industry average.
We expect all of our employees to perform their jobs free from any impairment caused by alcohol or drugs, strictly complying with the Construction Industry Drug-Free Workplace and the Washington Construction Industry Substance Abuse programs.
Career Development
At J&S Masonry, we invest in the professional growth of our employees by helping non-union tradesmen become union certified. There are also opportunities to receive in-house training and we prefer to promote from within. As an employee, you can expect to handle a wide range of masonry materials while working on some of the most prominent masonry projects in the region.
Consistent Employment
Our home office is in North Bend, Washington; we also have Oregon offices in Salem and Portland. We contract commercial, industrial, and institutional masonry projects primarily in Oregon and Washington, with occasional work in California, Nevada, Idaho, and Montana. With 30-50 projects contracted each year, our employees enjoy consistent hours year-round.
