J&S Masonry firmly believes that its most important duty as a company is to provide as safe a working environment as possible for each and every one of its employees. J&S has recently revamped its safety program with a renewed focus on employee involvement. Our company safety manual is routinely reviewed by personnel. This manual is available on each job site and at each office for supervisors, employees, or other interested parties to review. There are no secrets to the J&S safety program.
J&S is also aware that sometimes it takes a third party to be able to see things that internal eyes may overlook. J&S employs an outside safety consultant who is a former OSHA inspector. Not only is our consultant able to answer many of the questions that J&S has, he also performs regular job site visitations and walkthroughs. His reports are returned not only to J&S Masonry, but also to the general contractor of the job site. Finally, he is certified to teach OSHA 30 training. Since October of 2007, J&S Masonry has had over 30 employees certified as OSHA 30 trained.
J&S has worked directly with OSHA in order to schedule consultations in both Oregon and Washington. When J&S ends up working on a project, the general contractor is frequently surprised when J&S asks to bring OSHA on to the job site.
Our company safety director, Nolan Daley, can be reached via our North Bend office if you have any questions about J&S Masonry's safety priorities, policies or procedures.
